Виражає дію яка відбудеться або відбуватиметься в майбутньому. Часто вживається зі словами: tomorrow, the day after tomorrow, next Monday (month, year, week etc.), soon.

Утворюється з допоміжних дієслів  shall/will та інфінітива без частки to.

                                                                SHALL/WILL + V1

Shall вживається з I і we;      Will з іншими займенниками

Cкорочення: I’ll, you’ll, he’ll, she’ll, it’ll, we’ll, you’ll, they’ll

Примітка: в сучасній англійській мові здебільшого вживається допоміжне дієслово will з усіма займенниками.

1. Negative sentence.

I shall not open the door.  Shall not – shan’t [ʃɑ:nt]

He will not open the door.  Will not – won’t [wəunt]

2. General question.

Shall I open the door?  Yes, I shall. No, I shan’t.

Will he open the door?  Yes, he will. No, he won’t.

3. General-negative question.

Shan’t I open the window? Shall I not open the window?

4. Alternative question.

Shall I open the door or the window?

Will he open the door or the window?

4. Disjunctive (Tail, Tag) question.

I shall open the door, shan’t I?  I shall not open the door, shall I?

He will open the door, won’t he?  He will not open the door, will he?

6. Special question.

What shall I open? Why shall I open the door?

What will he open? Why will he open the door?

Build статура. He's of medium build with short brown hair. He was of medium build and wearing a light-coloured jacket.
