He began to drive slowly past the houses. Three boys went past us
on mountain bikes. Was that Peter who just jogged past in those bright pink shorts?
They moved [walked] toward(s) the town. He looked down towards the water. Our window looks towards the river. They drove towards
the German frontier.
I ran across
the street. She walked across the field/road. They're
building a new bridge across the
river. When I reached the river, I
simply swam across.
Soon
we were driving along a narrow road.
They walked along the beach/river.
The
River Thames flows through London. The road goes through the forest. We drove through the tunnel. They walked slowly through the woods.
We flew over the sea. The sign over the door said "Exit".She
held the umbrella over both of us.
Helicopters dropped leaflets over the city.
