Active voice and passive voice

THE ACTIVE VOICE??? 😊

Children play computer games every day. (The Present Simple Active)

My grandmother bought potatoes yesterday. (The Past Simple Active)

The pupils will speak about this film at the lesson. (The Future Simple Active)

I haven`t translated the article yet. (The Present Perfect Active)

Активний стан (Active voice) вказує, що дія в реченні (присудок) виконується підметом. 
(Підмет САМ виконує дію!) (subject)

 

THE PASSIVE VOICE???🔑

 

1. What is the passive?

Пасивний стан (Passive Voice) вказує, що підмет (хто? що?) не виконує самостійно дію, зазначену в реченні, а відчуває цю дію на собі. (Над підметом виконують дію) (passive subject)

Вчителю задають багато запитань.

Диктант щойно написали.

Цуценя нагодували.

Контрольну роботу перевірять завтра

2. The grammatical structure

Пасивний стан утворюється за допомогою допоміжного дієслова to be в необхідному часі та форми Past Participle (третьої форми смислового дієслова). Тільки перехідні дієслова можуть утворювати форми пасивного стану.

To be + past participle

 

To be (у потрібному часі)

Present – am/is/are

Past – was/were

Future – will be

Present perfect – have/has been

 

Вчителю задають багато запитань.

The teacher is asked many questions.

Цуценя нагодували.

The puppy was fed.

Контрольну роботу перевірять завтра.

The test will be checked tomorrow.

Диктант щойно написали.

The dictation has just been written.
