Usually, normally –

three times a week -  три рази на тиждень

twice a year – два рази на рік,

Often, frequently – часто,

 once a while – зрідка,

from time to time – час від часу,

sometimes – іноді,

seldom, rarely – рідко,

always – завжди,

occasionally – іноді,

 in the morning/afternoon/evening,

at night/midnight/noon/the weekend,

on Monday etc

якщо дію виконують he, she, it, то до дієслова додається закінчення –s(-es)

He works [               ]

He reads –

He sees –

He dresses –

1) якщо інфінітив без to закінчується на -ss, -sh, -ch, -х, -о, додається закінчення -es: push — pushes, fix — fixes, go — goes;

2) якщо інфінітив без to закінчується на -у з попередньою приголосною, то -у змінюється на -і та додається закінчення -es: fly — flies, cry — cries;

1. Affirmative sentence.

I talk to my friends every day.

He plays tennis every Sunday.

2. Negative sentence.

В Present Simple допоміжні дієслова do/does. Does вживається  коли дію виконують he, she, it.

I do not (don`t) talk to my friends every day.

He does not (doesn’t) play tennis every Sunday. –

3. General question.

Do you talk to your friends every day?

– Yes, I do; No, I don’t.

Does he play tennis every Sunday? –

– Yes, he does; No, he doesn’t.

4. General-negative question.

Don`t you talk to your friends every day? ( Do you not talk to your friends every day?)

Doesn`t he play tennis every Sunday? (Does he not play tennis every Sunday?)  –

5. Alternative question.

Do you talk to your friends or parents every day?

Does he play tennis or hockey every Sunday? -

I talk to my friends every day.

6. Tag(tail, disjunctive) question.

I talk to my friends every day, don`t I?

I don`t  talk to my friends every day, do I?

He plays tennis on Mondays, doesn`t he?

He doesn’t play tennis on Mondays, does he?

7. Special question.

Why do you talk to your friends every day?

When does he play tennis? –

8. Direct question.

Who plays tennis on Sundays? –

4. The Present Perfect Continuous

What have you been writing?

For the past two months I have been travelling across America

Today –
Has he been working hard today?

Recently –
I haven't been feeling well recently.

How long have they been playing football?

Since when has he been playing computer games?

Present Perfect

I have known her since childhood.

З дієсловами live, work, teach and feel (емоції) може вживатися як present perfect так і present perfect continuous без різниці в значенні.
