Ukraine is my Motherland and I’m
very proud to live here. So, I would like to tell you about my country.
The country borders onPoland, Slovakia and Hungary in the west, Belarus in the north, Moldova and Romania in the south-west and Russia in the east. In the south it’s
washed by the Black Sea and the Sea of

Mariupol, Yalta and others.
Ukraine stretches from the
Carpathian Mountains in the west to the
steppes in the east, from the marshes
in the north to the Black Sea in the south. Ukraine is not a mountainous
country, though there are the Crimean Mountains in the Crimean Peninsula and
the Carpathian Mountains in the west
of the country; they are not very high.
The highest mountain is Hoverla.
