Prefix mis- (ні, поганий, щось було погано чи неправильно зроблено)

Trust – mistrust - недовіра

To behave - to misbehave – погано поводитися

Adventure – misadventure - нещасний випадок, авантюра

Heard – misheard неправильно почув

Address – misaddress неправильно написату адресу

Understand – misunderstand – неправильно зрозуміти

 Fortune - misfortune - нещастя, невдача

 

My third misadventure of the trip happened while we were in Wellington.

 He misunderstood the question completely.

Build – rebuild збудувати знову

Learn – relearn – вчитися знову

Populated – overpopulated

Some people can overeat without putting on much weight.

We were working overtime (=working beyond the usual time).

I have to work overtime tonight.

5. You have got a letter from your pen-friend. He/she tells you about his/her plans for summer vocations. Write a reply, including the following information:

• tell your friend that you are planning a hike to the mountains;
• describe your preparation for the hike;
• mention what you are going to do after the hike.
