Keep or Hold?

Keep - мати щось постійно або протягом певного періоду часу –

He borrowed my bike and kept it all week.

регулярно зберігати щось у певному місці -

I think he keeps his keys in the desk drawer.

зберігати, залишати собі, тримати

Hold - тримати щось у руці/руках або десь ще

She held the baby in her arms.

Examples of ways to hold objects:

Hold a pencil in your hand.

Hold a cup with both hands.

Hold a book against your chest.

Hold a spoon between your fingers.

Hold a ball in your hands.

Hold a bag over your shoulder.

Hold a phone in your palm.

Hold a piece of paper between your thumb and index finger etc.
