Will + be doing

will be +Ving

We use the Future Continuous for:

1.   Actions which will be in progress at a stated future time

 

She will be translating the text at 5 tomorrow.

She will be translating the text when her mother comes home.

She will be translating the text all morning next Monday.

2.   Actions which will definitely happen in the future as the result of a routine or arrangement.

You`d better not call Jane just now. She`ll be heading for the train station.

3.   When we ask politely about someone`s plans for the near future.

Will Helen be using the fax machine for long? I have t send a fax.

Why do we use the Future Continuous?

a.    He'll be working on his project until it's completed.

b.   I will be studying at the library at noon.

c.    She will be painting the walls all day next Saturday.

d.   She will be waiting for you when you arrive at the party.

e.    She'll be meeting her friends for coffee after work.

f.      The bus will be arriving at the station in ten minutes.

g.   The chef will be preparing dinner by the time the guests arrive.

h.   The team will be practicing for the tournament until late in the evening.

i.      They will be watching a movie at 8 PM tomorrow.

j.      They'll be attending the lecture every Wednesday.

k.    Will she be bringing her dog to the park? I wanted to bring mine too.

l.      Will they be staying for dinner? I need to know for the preparations.

m. Will you be using the car this evening?

n.   Will your parents be visiting us next month?
